TIFF17 Movie Review: Kings

Book Review: Marketing Moves

              Jim Pagiamtzis Review:
"An amazing book the provides strategies, tips and resources to succeed in marketing yourself and business"

            Book outline:

Forget the tired argument about "old" versus "new" economy say internationally renowned marketer Philip Kotler and his coauthors Dipak C. Jain and Suvit Maesincee. The Internet, globalization, and hypercompetition are forcing companies to redefine their markets, market offerings, and marketing operations so that they can compete successfully in both the old and the new economies.

The scarcity of customers, not products, calls for making marketing the primary driver of strategic planning and infrastructure effectiveness.

Marketing can no longer create value by being seen only as a department whose main charge is to dispose of the company's products and services.

The authors urge companies to broaden the marketing concept into a holistic framework, one in which companies and their collaborators become proficient at identifying new value creation opportunities and capable of delivering products, services, and experiences that more precisely match individual customer requirements.

Thought provoking and comprehensive, this book shows how to build a complete marketing platform around the exploration, creation, and delivery of superior value to customers, collaborators, and the company itself.

TIFF17 Movie Review: Downsizing (2017)

 Jim Pagiamtzis Review
" Matt Damon delivers a stellar performance with support cast providing amazing performances. Christopher Waltz and Hong Dang had some very funny lines!  Alex Payne brings CGI to entire new level in this film.  Comedy and serious theme are both play out. By the time you reach the end you will be crying and ask yourself. What would you do?"

Sujit K Reddy review
Good: Acting. Sense of  humour with a serious environmental mesasge
Bad: Some nudity that was not needed
Ugly:  1 out of 2 of my scenes were cut out :(

 Movie plot:

When scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall as a solution to overpopulation, Paul (Matt Damon) and his wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in order to get small and move to a new downsized community — a choice that triggers life-changing adventures.
